A free tool to check SSD performance

PostWed Apr 28, 2021 6:37 pm

Since many of us are using SSD's in our Hauptwerk computers these days, I was looking for a utility to test and evaluate them. This software seems to do just that. Easy to use portable free version:

Further additional Tests For The Techie::

CrystalDiskMark 8.0.1:

CPUZ:

HWMonitor

A (pedalboard) footnote  don't fret if you don't comprehend all this stuff. None of us was born with intuitive knowledge, but some of these info's help our inquisitiveness to know what's going on "under the hood". Unfortunately this info won't make us a better organist tho.

Certainly not the best or only way, but there is something to be said about learning from our own and other's mistakes.

Something I found out a while ago, that even with the best care and attention, computers can accumulate junk (files). Even true with SSD's making progams run slower. I'd be interested in knowing what some of you use to clean out this trash ???

Ed and others,

Don't download software from the softonic.com webite.
They include adware, pop-up's, banners, etc. in the software and their website has a lot advertisings and download buttons. For you to choose the right one.
See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Softonic.com
In case of AS SSD Benchmark, there is no adware etc. added. I have check this.

The maker of this SSD benchmark program has an own site. Information and download is
