My grandmother had a dot matrix printer and an MS DOS computer from the late 80’s. She kept printing on it until they stopped making the ribbons for it. Soon after that, she couldn’t find the tractor style paper either! The computer kept running, but it was notoriously affected by the Y2K bug. She just set the computer date as Jan 1 1980, and it started working again!

I was and still am amazed at what was available "back then". Very much appreciate the tremendous efforts that made what we have today even possible. No so called "smart" items back then for most "1oday" folk but I tend to think what we had to work with then was very "smart". Imagine no Internet. Yes, and I can remember the Bulletin Boards and Hauptwerk 1.0 from Crumhorn Labs. A huge high five to Martin. I think of his efforts and dedication every time I hear the results of his on going creation. :)
