Wow, a system that I also planned for a long time ago. Are you satisfied with the performance of the 5950X? Are you hitting polyphony limits with it?

With a setting of 300 pipes/key and 34 white keys pressed gives a polyphony of 10200.
Audio buffer 256 and sample rate 96 kHz. No audio interruptions..
At that moment, the CPU cores are not charged 100% and on the HW performance screen the CPU shows green and only 2 yellow leds.
So I can press more keys ........ Maybe I will do a re-test later.

I'm satisfied. No audio and polyphony problems at all.

How do you press 34 or more keys? Thanks!

I haven't been able to measure static polyphony because I can't hold more than 15 keys, using a 12" ruler. That doesn't take my CPU to yellow at 500 ranks per note.

You can put books on the keys.

Ah. I'll drag out some textbooks since my Kindles aren't heavy enough. Thanks!

A new polyphony test.

With a setting of 500 pipes/key and 25 white keys pressed it gives a static polyphony of 12500.
Audio buffer 256 and sample rate 96 kHz. No audio interruptions.
With 1 key extra (=500 pipes) I have audio interruptions.

Also in that picture the CPU temperature and fan speed.

Many thanks evertjan, very interesting.

Jörg Glebe has an 13900K and with that CPU he can play all organs with 48kHz without crackles and a polyphony with 12000.
