Thanks for the reply. In general, do you think it would be better to apply room eq externally to HW, either in the DSP itself or some external software that sits between HW and the DSP?

Seems to me that room eq would (or should) remain constant, regardless of what sample set you're using, whether you use IR or not, etc. etc. So let HW do what it does best and not get it involved in room eq?

Yes -- the room EQ needed would be the same regardless of which sample set you were using.

It would certainly be much simpler to use something external to Hauptwerk.
