Massive Bangs on start up and shutdown

PostSat Jan 08, 2022 9:11 am

Running my outputs from the Beringer Hub into the Powered Sub Woofer then out to the 4 monitors via Crossover.
All speakers are permanently in the ON positions (Switches) as they are out of reach.
On power up i.e. switching on at the wall socket massive multiple "bangs" to the speakers, same on turning off the mains elec.
Does this even just using the 4 monitors.

Speakers are all Yamaha.

No issues when using Headphones at all.

That may be the problem. Maybe you could arrange for an accessible switch to control all of the Speakers together... then only turn that one ON after everything else has been powered up. And turn them OFF before shutting down everything else.

I turn on my audio interface and computer first, then the amps and speakers on separate power strips. You don't want to turn the audio interface on or off with amplifiers on.

Many thanks for all replies as the system is now as it should be.

I now power up the PC and Hub via on mains source and then once active I power up all 5 Speakers from another wall socket...............perfect!!

Switch off is the reverse action again perfect.

THANK YOU ALL!!

Best Regards,

Glenn
