Unable to upload WAV files as requested

On the Upload page, Contrebombarde implies that it now prefers performances in the WAV format, instead of mp3 files. I recently uploaded a WAV file of a performance and Contrebombarde gave me the impression that everything was going smoothly. When I went to the Browse page, it told me that it would be a few minutes for it to finish loading. I waited for an hour and the piece did not appear, so I uploaded it as an mp3 file. That worked as expected.

How are the WAV files uploads supposed to work?

I believe Darryl has posted here and said that currently the wav convertor isn't working but they are aware and are working on the problem. Meanwhile it's mp3 files. I'm sure there will be an announcement when it is fixed.
