Hello everybody,
Like everybody else on the forms, I am very excited for the upcoming new release of Hauptwerk.
However, I was also excited this week to take delivery of my new MIDI console. I have used Hauptwerk since the early days of Crumhorn labs. For approximately the past decade I have practiced and enjoyed my homebrew console which consisted of a digital piano, a 32-bit note pedal board which I enabled using a controller from Roman Sowa. It is always been my dream to have a dedicated AGO specification console.
After a lot of online research, I was really drawn to the products from Content Organshttps://www.contentorgans.com/en/ in the Netherlands. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the US distributor, Verdin https://www.verdin.com/organs-pianos/, was just two hours away from me. Dewey Kuhn heads the organ division there, and was a complete gentleman and provided outstanding customer service throughout the whole process. I was able to play one of contents organs in the Cincinnati showroom, and after some discussion, I placed an order for a custom-built three manual with 32 note a AGO pedal board MIDI console. Happy does not even begin to describe how I feel at this point. The feel of the manuals is perfect, the pedal board is responsive. And it is such a treat to have lighted pistons.
While I know there are many vendors in the market, and as somebody who had my own "science project" before understands that there is a lot of joy to be gained in building your own system. I cannot give the Content and Verdin team a higher recommendation at this point.
