Windows 10 & Echo Audiofires 12's

PostSat Apr 03, 2021 7:28 am

Hi all, trust we are enjoying our Easter break. I have just changed my computer from a very basic one & upgraded to a more powerful version BUT! i forgot to make sure that it came with a fire wire connection so as a result I can't connect my echo Audiofire 12 Has any one had to deal with this issue & what is the easiest way to get around the problem, I purchased a USB to FIREWIRE connector $9 but when I connected, it told me that there was a a power issue & it started to smoke so I put it in the trash Is there any other easy way out? or will I need to get a PC firewire board. Any help would be more than I have Cheers Rod

There are a number of PCI-E FIREWIRE IEEE 1394 3 PORT FIRE WIRE CONTROLLER CARDS listed on eBay. Prices range from $13.00 usd up.
