Midi boutique mddp128 decoder

Hi. Has anybody used this decoder board before. If so any tips?

I have. Many times. To drive LEDs in thumb pistons. If that’s what you’re using it for, or similar, Make sure to set it to the same midi channel and starting note as the corresponding input (ie - if piston “1” is channel 1 note 1 on your ENCODER) then set the mddp128 up such that it also starts on channel 1 note 1 (or whatever). This way, when you auto detect in HW, you can tell it to follow the input automatically. MUUUUUCH faster and easier than programming every single lamp by hand for every single set. Also, you’ll need the UpSet.exe programming utility from MGB. Free download.
