Not sure where to put this, My Echoaudiofire gear is getting abit old and becoming unreliable. Suggestions for replacements would be most welcome. Cheers.

Hello Owen:

If you are happy with these interfaces, the easiest solution is just to swap them with working units from the 2nd hand market. Here is great deal on two:

However if you want to upgrade, as most modern audio interfaces are USB/2, 3, or C then I would recommend the MOTU 24Ao which actually gives you 24 channels of outputs. Using the provided AVB network connection, you can add 2 additional 24Ao units for the max limit of 72 channels. If I remember your setup correctly, you have a large multichannel setup correct?

Regards,

Danny B.

Yes -- if you need lots of audio outputs then I too would recommend the MOTU 24Ao units, which have 24 analogue audio outputs and support AVB (as Danny mentioned). They're popular and well-proven amongst Hauptwerk users and you can connect multiple AVB-compatible units (such as several 24Ao units) together via AVB using a MOTU AVB Switch:

https://motu.com/en-us/products/avb/avb-switch/

In total, their USB driver can handle up to 64 output channels at 48 kHz (or up to 32 at 96 kHz), and if using Thunderbolt (which the 24Ao doesn't have, but other ones of their AVB interfaces do) it's up to 128 output channels at up to 96 kHz.
Best regards, Martin.

I second the Motu 24Ao. I just got one and am very pleased with it!
