RME FIREFACE 400 ON MAC STUDIO

PostFri Aug 25, 2023 7:43 pm

I am trying to install my RME Fireface 400 on my new MacStudio before I install my Hauptwerk.
When I attach the interface I get pops and crackles right off the bat and the RME Total Mix program doesn't see the device.
I did install the RME program and allowed it under Security & Privacy settings after installation.

Mac Studio Apple M2 Ultra
masOS 13.5.1
This system has an internal audio card.

Make sure you also boot the device into reduced security mode:

Then allow the driver again.

Make sure the latest firmware is installed, if applicable, and that you have the latest driver installed.

If that doesn't help, contact RME support. I went through all of this with a Motu device!

I am not sure if the USB driver is the issue.
In my case just attaching the interface without loading TotalMix will give me loud pops.
I'll contact RME support. Thanks for the suggestion.
