My first contribution to the forum is to proclaim Francois a saint: all through today there has been patience with my idiocy. Thank you Francois.
I'm a newbie in all this. For the last few months I've been toying with HW as an upgrade to my ancient Chronicler I Albhorn Galanti. I've used a well specked gaming laptop (32gb RAM) to evaluate HW software and (more importantly, sample sets .. I'm in love with Dudelange). So, a week or so ago I invested in an HW5 Perpetual license. Yesterday I took possession of a dedicated audio workstation (64 gb etc). According to the HW5 users manual all I had to do to transfer use from one PC to another was was download the HW5 onto the new PC. and apply the license. But .... HW5 has gone ... so i've loaded HW6 on the new workstation. Perhaps the problem has been that I had two Ilok accounts (heaven knows why) .. one contained my HW5 Perpetual License and the other the temporary HW6 "Fix" license deposited by Francois earlier today.
The lovely people at Ilok have allowed me to migrate my HW5 License into the account with the HW6 "Fix" license. So now, I've been able to activate the Fix License because there has been present in the Ilok folder an HW5 license to surrender.
But .... having done all that, HW5 is surrendered and doesn't work on my gaming laptop anymore .. and my HW6 Fix Licence isn't attaching to the HW6 download on the ne workstation (notwithstanding its been activated) .. looks like I may be having an organ free weekend
Would someone please throw me a lifebelt?
Kindest regards
Ian
