iLok & Monthly Subscription

Good day all.

A newbie question to which I can't find an answer on the forums or in the documentation.

Can iLok not be used for HW that is on a monthly subscription? My iLok Manager won't let me transfer my licence to the dongle. I get that iLok needs to be connected to the internet for each renewal of a licence, but in the days between that monthly renewal, is it not possible to use HW on a non-internet connected computer. Is this a limitation with the monthly subscription option?

Hello akjm,

Yes -- you can certainly do that.

If you currently have the subscription licence activated to your iLok Cloud, log in within iLok License Manager, make sure your iLok Cloud session is open, then right-click on the subscription licence and deactivate it, then right-click on it again and activate it, this time selecting your iLok dongle when asked where to activate it.
