Is three a distinctive MIDI (message) output

PostWed Aug 11, 2021 8:09 pm

when an organ sample set is (chosen to be) loaded?

I'm not able to verify that presently. Thanks.

Hello Ed,

[Topic moved here.]

Depending on the point at which you would want such a MIDI output message to be sent (e.g. as an organ starts to load, or when when it's finished loading and audio/MIDI starts), you could potentially configure either of the following entries on the 'General settings | MIDI/key triggers for master pistons and menu functions (for all organs)' screen to send MIDI:

- Misc state output: audio active
- Misc state output: organ loading

... or you could enable the MIDI console status output system (see also the 'MIDI implementation: MIDI console status output system' section in the Hauptwerk user guide -- page 281 in the current v6.0.2 version) and listen for one or more of its variables via MIDI, e.g.:

- IsOrganAndAudioAndMIDIReady
- IsOrganLoaded
- IsOrganLoading
- CurrOrganShortName

(You could potentially also use LCD output messages, but I wouldn't recommend that, since the exact format of the text within the line formats might change between Hauptwerk versions, i.e. it wouldn't be safe to rely on an exact strings of text being sent unless you use the 'Fixed user-defined text' line format and configured it for every organ, which would be fiddly.)
Best regards, Martin.
