Consoles randomly becoming deselected

PostFri Dec 09, 2022 4:01 am

We are running HW 5 in a church with two touch screens and a plain monitor. The touch screens have the left and right jams displayed on them - Console 2 and Console 3.

One or both of the touch screens regularly fail to display the jambs on startup, and we have to go to the view menu in HW and re-tick them.

The screens are displaying fine - i.e. I can see the Windows backdrop, it is just that they become deselected for some reason.

Any advice would be welcome as it is distressing our Organist who struggles with IT :)

Hello hevmills,

Welcome to the forum.

Do you have Hauptwerk launching automatically as the PC boots? If so, probably Windows is launching Hauptwerk before Windows has finished initialising the monitors, resulting in one or both of them appearing to be missing when Hauptwerk launches. In that case introducing a delay (e.g. via a command batch file) before launching Hauptwerk usually solves it.
Best regards, Martin.
