Primary Piston Toolbar

PostMon Jan 02, 2023 11:46 am

The primary piston toolbar has disappeared on Friesach. I have unloaded and reloaded the organ, but I cannot find it. The view menu allows me to bring up piston toolbars with alternate functions, but not the default. Can someone please tell me how I can get the default back? I would appreciate it.

The user guide says you can right click on each piston and Clear the overridden functions. But is it possible that the defaults you were expecting were inherited from a previous version? Anyway, you can set the functions you want with the right click menu, and do it either for all organs or per organ. Pages 70 - 75 in the current Installation and User Guide.

Hello voet,

To add to Mark's reply:

If it's been closed, the piston toolbar that's open by default when an organ is first loaded can be reopened via "View | Pistons toolbars ... | Main console window piston toolbar". If that menu item is still ticked, then the toolbar must be open somewhere (e.g. floating on a different monitor), in which case un-ticking the menu item then re-ticking it will reopen it in its default position (docked along the bottom of the main console window).

Thank you both for your help.

Martin, after I followed your instructions, I now have pistons showing. However, instead of numbered pistons, they are showing different functioins: Revert comb; cp reg; cp stepper; etc.

How do I get the numbered pistons back?

Thanks, voet.

You can right-click on any piston toolbar button to assign a different function to it (globally, and/or overridden 'for this organ').
