Yeah the bar graphs show plenty of signal, again tried other channels with no success. I'll try the driver. Thanks

Martin to the rescue!!!! Yes the driver fixed it!!! Thanks so much, saves me at least $1K. I remember reading about that driver awhile back, but never paid much attention to it.

I have one other question. I want the best sound possible, that to me is above everything. I found that when I switch to 96K the ASIO driver shows it's running that. But the AF-12 does not switch to 96K. If I change to 96K on the interface itself, the sound stops and it may or may not switch to 96K. To get any benefit of 96K, I assume the interface needs to switch to that too, not just the driver, right?

Hello Eric,

To get any benefit from 96 kHz it would certainly be the case that the audio interface itself, including its driver, would need to be running at 96 kHz. If one says it's running at 96 kHz and not the other then I think probably one of them is simply not indicating its rate properly, otherwise you would be likely to get severe audio distortion (or at least the pitch would be wrong by one octave).

For audio quality, the most important thing is that Hauptwerk's "Organ settings | Organ preferences | Audio engine: Audio engine quality" is set to "Higher". Provided that's the case, using 96 kHz above 48 kHz would only give a very small additional quality benefit, which probably wouldn't be audible in normal use.
Best regards, Martin.

Yeah I have the audio engine set to "higher". Not sure about the 96K discrepancy, but at least it plays now!

P.S. If you use "Help | View activity log" after audio has started (e,g. after loading an organ), the INF:5152 message should show the sample rate that the driver is actually using (which will presumably be the same as the audio interface's).

Well unfortunately I'm not out of the woods yet with this interface. I found that channels 9-12 are split off and dedicated to the computer's sounds. So far I can't seem to get them back. Oh well at least it's somewhat usable for now. It's probably time I think of getting a new interface anyway as the firewire is getting so obsolete anymore.
