Pace License Support hasn't been installed

Hi,

I just had to re-install Hauptwerk 7 due to re-installation of Windows 10.

Hauptwerk 7 has been running on my computer without problems since Feb. 2022.

But after installation Hauptwerk won't run.

I am getting 2 different error messages one appears to be from windows the other from Ilok.

"Hauptwerk.exe
Can't run because Pace License Support hasn't been installed, OS error 0x0000135"

Another error message "cannot run program code because libxml2.dll cannot be found"

Hauptwerk makes a suggestion to try and re-install Hauptwerk, to solve the problem. But I have tried that with the same result.

Any ideas?

Uninstall, download, and reinstall iLok Manager first. That should handle the missing Pace error.

Then download Hauptwerk 7 again from your hauptwerk.com account, verify the checksum is correct, and reinstall. The libxml2.dll error sometimes seems to be from a corrupted installation file.

If that doesn't work, search for libxml2.dll where there are some manual ways to recover that.

To add to Mark's reply, iLok License Manager can be downloaded here:

https://www.ilok.com/

If that's installed properly I think it should solve both of the error messages that you're getting. iLok License Manager needs to be installed, otherwise Hauptwerk won't be able to run.
