Several midi pistons for the same virtual piston

PostSun Apr 23, 2023 11:20 pm

Hi,

I am installing arrows midi pistons to operate the stepper combination system on my 3 manuals + pedalboard of my midi console.
It means I have 4 right arrows and 4 left arrows.

My question: is it possible to assign 4 midi pistons to the same virtual piston in Hauptwerk and, if yes, how to proceed?

Thanks a lot for your help!
Best regards

I think that you could wire the switches in parallel. This way you should only need one connection to the MIDI encoder.

Yes, I already thought about this solution.

I found this post:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=20546&hilit=midi+pistons

This solved my issue.

Thanks for help!

Each midi switch (piston) can have two inputs(and outputs).

There are multiple stepper increment and decrement Virtual switches (5 each, giving you 2x5 stepper + and stepper - pistons) to which you can auto detect physical switches.

You’ll find these on the menu
organ settings |
Midi/key triggers for master pistons and menu functions for this organ

This gives you a possibility of ten of each.

There are two pairs at the top of the long list and three more pairs about a quarter of the way down.
