Dry sample sets and reverb....

PostSun May 21, 2023 8:11 am

I know I can stick a dry sample set through the HW convolution reverb to make it more wet.
Can I do that to separate audio channels so that I can have the original dry samples to my front speakers and the ones with added reverb to the rear?
(Specifically thinking about Silver Octopus...)
Thanks

Yes. In General settings, set up new primary buses for each of your rear speaker pairs and select a reverb for each bus. Set up a new rear reverb bus group containing those primary buses.

In Organ settings, in Rank voicing, send all ranks to Perspective 2 (the mix level is 0 by default).

In Rank routing, send all ranks' Perspective 2 to the new rear reverb group, and Perspective 1 to the front group.

In the SO example, the ranks are dry. If starting from wet ranks, you would also apply release truncatiin to Perspective 2 in Rank voicing.
