Hauptwerk single instance

PostSat Apr 06, 2024 1:04 am

Hello,

In many projects, transforming old console to HW, I have implemented an automatic process to start and stop the organ. Unfortunately, rarely and for unkwown reason, Windows don't close correctly HW and start a new instance of HW at relaunch. As the computer is never shut down to start and stop quickly the organ, I would like to find a solution to have at any time only one instance of HW. Is there a way to do that ?

Kind regards

Bernard

Hello Bernard,

Do you mean that your aim is to:

1. Exit Hauptwerk completely (but not shut the computer down) upon pressing a particular MIDI piston on your MIDI organ console, and:
2. Relaunch Hauptwerk and re-load the organ upon pressing a different MIDI piston on your MIDI organ console?

If so, why do you want to exit Hauptwerk (if you aren't shutting the computer down)?
Best regards, Martin.
