Migration function on Version 7

PostSun Apr 14, 2024 4:16 am

I wish to migrate a pre version 4 sample set from organart media to version 7. There is no migrate function evident in v7 file menu as described in version 5 support docs. Any ideas? Hauptwerk software website won't let you open a ticket without a correct format telephone number but there is no definition of a correct format telephone number.

Hello unclegally,

Please try:

- Exit Hauptwerk if it's running.

- Make sure that the (current version of the) driver for your v4 (HASP) dongle is installed:
----- Windows HASP run-time environment GUI installer: https://supportportal.gemalto.com/csm/? ... =KB0018320
----- macOS HASP run-time environment GUI installer: https://supportportal.gemalto.com/csm/? ... =KB0018323

- Reboot for good measure. (Don't launch Hauptwerk yet.)

- Make sure that the v4 dongle is attached to the computer.

- If you use an iLok dongle (as opposed to iLok Cloud), make sure that too is attached to the computer.

- Make sure that the lights within both dongles are lit (which indicates that their drivers can 'see' them).

- Now launch Hauptwerk and the "File | Initiate migration of Hauptwerk pre-v5 sample set licenses to this version ..." menu option should be present (provided that you hadn't already migrated the licences, which wipes them from the dongle).

- Use that menu function and follow the on-screen instructions to save the file somewhere safe, then send it to us ( https://www.hauptwerk.com/licensemigrationform/ ).

Does that solve it?
Best regards, Martin.
