Hello all,
In response to this forum post: http://forum.hauptwerk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=13170#p97163, I received several requests to make additions to the Caen sampleset (Sonus Paradisi). One Hauptwerker suggested preparing a generic extension and making it available to the general Hauptwerk community.
As a result, I'm curious if there is interest in an extension to Caen which would include the following:
1) A swell pedal for the Positif.
2) A Quintbasse 10 2/3' for the pedal using the samples of the Bourdon 16' on the Grand Orgue (independent rank, not unified).
3) A 1' on the Grand Orgue using samples of the Doublette 2' on the Grand Orgue (independent rank, not unified).
4) Possibly a pedal mixture? Or additional manual mixtures? (depending on interest).
5) Change the behaviour of the "appels anches" which are currently always off at start-up. Instead, the last state will be remembered before the organ was last unloaded.
6) Any other suggestions that you can think of that would be of interest to the typical Hauptwerk user.
Note that the original organ will remain intact, so even after installing the extension, it will still be possible to use the screen views of the organ as originally supplied by Sonus Paradisi. Also, in order for this update to work, one first needs to have purchased Caen version 2.5 from Sonus Paradisi.
Assuming there is enough interest, the price would be around US $45 (payable by PayPal on delivery of the installation files) which I will be using towards purchasing the Caen sampleset . Let me know if you are interested, either on the forum, or via private message. I'll also collect additional suggestions over the next two weeks, and then present a more final list of features that will be included in the extension.
Thanks, and best regards,
Jake
