PostFri May 12, 2017 8:37 am

Hi I have this now installed and its wonderful, I am curious if anyone has compiled any great crescendo set ups they wanted to share. I know that some people are vey skilled at this, anyway, if you did, and you want to share... I am sure many of us would appreciate Thanks

Hi.

If you can wait a few days or so, we will be publishing my Sample-Set Spotlight on the Armley Schulze on The Barde.

I did a lot of research, spent a lot of time, have many photos, all my musical demos, and some suggestions for registrations/pistons, etc.

I'm sure you will enjoy it and find it helpful! :D

It's a "tricky" organ in some ways, but once it comes together for you, it's really great.

I promise that the article is COMING SOON!

Peace,

David

David - I agree that the Schulze can be challenging to register, you do an excellent job in your recordings and I'm looking forward to your insight.

THANKS, jwillans!

I hope it's useful, and not too long - although I covered a LOT of stuff - some church related, some historical things, but mostly about the organ...

I played this organ once in the early 1980's, but this was before Harrison's definitive work. When I played it, there was a problem with the combination action (the 1905 Binns work), and there were some tuning issues that made finding items that sounded good a problem. I only practiced once before the recital, so, I just made the best of it.

I'm sure it sounds spectacular in person!

Anyway, MANY THANKS, and I hope you like the review!

Peace,

David
