Zurek 5 (composite) for Haupwerk V?

PostSat Dec 14, 2019 10:09 am

I have very much enjoyed the free Zurek 5.0 (or perhaps 5.1?) composite organ since it was first introduced several years ago.

All the components of this organ were available as demos from Sonis Paradisi and I have been able to download the new files for Hauptwerk V and install them except for the elusive Freiberg 2.0 which I think was an older version hosted (with permission) on a private server which appears to no longer be available.

Does anyone know if this Freiberg 2.0 file will become available again or if anyone has plans to update the Zurek ODF to work with the currently available files?

For Freiberg sample set, I had to do a new demo package, since the previous could not be installed in HW5 due to the changes of the encryption. That is the only encrypted demo set of mine, if I remember correctly.

You can download the new Freiberg demo set from my web pages, but I do not know whether it may work in some third-party composite set. The creator of the set should tell.

Anyway, I like people enjoying composite sets, but acquiring the full version of the set would be even more rewarding.

At this moment the Zurek5 doesn't work in HW5 due the new encryption methode of Hauptwerk V.
Now the new demo version for Freiberg (v2.5) is available. Thanks mr. Zurek.

Next step is that the ODF must be changed. The package ID's of Freiberg V2.0 and Freiberg V2.5 differs. This must be changed and may be other things in the ODF.
Anton Heger will do this; maybe during Christmas holidays

(other used demo versions are not encrypted. So new downloads for Zurek5 other than Freiberg V2.5 are not neccesary)

Does anybody know whether a more recent version of the Zurek 5 has been released?

Since January 4th 2020 the ZurekV for HW 5 and higher is available.
See https://www.pcorgel.nl/viewtopic.php?p=43970#p43970 and https://www.pcorgel.nl/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2035
(in Dutch language). I write the complete story below.

There are 3 versions of ZurekV. Reason is the different encryption of Hauptwerk 4.x and 5.x and higher and the encrypted Freiberg demo.
1. ZurekV for Hauptwerk 4.2.1 and the Freiberg demo V2.0
2. ZurekV V5.2 for Hauptwerk 5.x and higher and the Freiberg demo V2.5
3. ZurekV V5.3 for Hauptwerk 6.0.2 and the Freiberg demo V2.7
For the other used demo sets always use the latest versions.

For HW5/6 versions you need to download and install:
Rotterdam demo:
see https://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/blog/ro ... -surround/

St. Maximim demo:
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/St.Max ... ptwerk.rar

Kreszkow demo:
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/Krzesz ... ptwerk.rar

Zwolle (v2.5) demo:
http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/demo/Zwolle ... ptwerk.rar

Freiberg demo V2.7; only works in Hauptwerk 6.0.2 and higher.
https://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/downloa ... mple_id/9/
The Freiberg demo v2.5 for Hauptwerk 5.0.1 is not available any more since the release of v2.7.

Zurek V v5.2 for HW5 and higher in combination with Freiberg demo v2.5:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/qnp6pvtrhr0c1 ... k.rar?dl=1

Zurek V v5.3 for HW6.0.2 and higher in combination with Freiberg demo v2.7:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ua1il1r35fsvm ... k.rar?dl=1

For completeness, for Zurek V in HW4 you need to install the same, except the new Freiberg demo and Zurek V for HW5/6. The downloads of the old version of these files are:

Old Freiberg V2.0 (!!) demo for HW4:
Because this file is not available anymore on the Sonus Paradisi website, the original file is separated in 2 files and are stored (with permision of Jiri Zurek) on:
https://www.mega.nz/#!gcdG1ayR!RuKdKQVv ... gos6h-ybi4
https://www.mega.nz/#!0NsDlK7D!5VYmlXKP ... dm5u8r5Tdk
Both files must be in 1 folder on your PC, and then you can install this in HW4. After installing the first, the second file follows automatically.

Zurek V for HW4:

edit 5 July 2021: update because the new Rotterdam and Freiberg demo v2.7 sets

Unfortunately, the composite does not work with the full version of the Rotterdam. Can the Rotterdam demo be installed parallel to the full version (separate directory) ?

Yes, it can.

The full version uses packages with ID: 891 - 899 & 1300, 1302
The demo version uses 891 & 1304 - 1306
In both 891 is the core package with the graphics and tracker sounds/noises.

After installing the demo version I advise you to reinstall the latest full version update (v1.21; https://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/ ... organ.html), because in this update also some graphics are updated. And by installing the demo, these are lost.
