Dear TubaFan,

I don't want to convince anyone here of simple screens. I don't have to, because the organists who use simple screens are already find it practice convinced of it.
I am happy for every organist who is happy and satisfied with the original screens.
So all is well :-)

Honestly, I couldn't imagine loading an organ and having the simple screen to work from. I am far too used to physical controls to find it "easier," and it certainly isn't attractive. Like I said, to each their own. I just don't see how it is more practical, and it definitely does not look better. I can't imagine, even on a single small touch screen, that most people are changing registrations on the fly anyway where it is necessary.

It is truely remarkeble that this organ will be available for Hauptwerk. According to many organists, this organ is the most beautiful organ of Berlin. What a joy that it comes to Hauptwerk! I wish Prof. Maier good luck with finishing this project. As soon as this sample set is available, I'll definitely buy one.

I will buy one too.... Sounds exactly the type of sample I like. And, I’m very interested in the ability to move the sound around. I’ve never tried that but look forward to that aspect of this sample set.

Will this organ have a bit of a users manual for instructions on how to use it?

I notice that the main console page includes the switches to select a stop for each of the two “Freire kombinations”. Will the freie combination system work within the sample set? I presume that on the real instrument these are “blind” (that is the stops don’t move when selected) and cancelled by the “hand register” button. Is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

I agree. But why not give the user a choice?

Hello Iain,

the switches for the "Freie Kombination" are all fully functional.
We decided, to put the extra effort in the project, to be able to play with the original registration mechanism for didactic purposes.
The registrations are programmed with the switches and activated with two thumb pistons (FK1 and FK2), switched off by the "Auslöser". Stop tabs don't move (historic), but actually move with modern programmable combination system.

@B777Captain:
Yes, of course there will be information about registrations etc., like we did with the Wacker

There was a question concerning resources for this big instrument:

We are very pleased to announce, that you only need
RAM: 20 GByte (Standard 16-bit) for 71 stops, Surround
CPU: Quad-Core (optimal Octa-Core), min 32 GByte,

Quad-Core systems really work with the complete organ, perhaps except excessive "GeneralTutti (all sub- and super couplers enabled)", so even customers with smaller systems should be able to play this instrument.

Hi!

I own Aix-en-Provence Ducroquet Cavaillé-Coll and Metzler-Poblet sample sets. I have a question for you: will it be possible to control reverberation or release sample truncation for this new sample set?

I find that the magnificent organs of Organ Art Media come with too much reverberation for my taste, which is annoying to, for example, study ...

Anyway, thank you so much for your work!

This is a native feature of Hauptwerk rather than individual sample sets thus it is possible to truncate the release samples of all HW organs.
Best wishes,

My question is about controlling "release sample truncation". When installing Ducroquet or Poblet samplesets this field is always disabled :(
