That most certainly is an interesting organ!

Will there be some sort of "dry" samples?

It definitely is! And hearing this organ live is just amazing! The room has a splendid acoustics, quite some reverb (5-6 seconds), but nevertheless very clear, even when you are wandering around the church, it never gets all mushy!

Enjoy!

There will certainly not be dry samples as such, it is next to impossible to record for such a big organ, and dry samples require extensive voicing tuned to the audio setup and reverb settings individually for each user. There will be (if I am happy with the quality of the result) an 3rd channel pair that is sounding more close than the "direct" channels I already had in my previous sets. I have to see how that works out though before making any promises.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I now have a song stuck in my head and I can't remember the name. What piece does the organist start to play 1:36:15?

Fantastic organ!
I just wonder if Fernwerk was also recorded and will go as a section of the main organ?

Best,
Tom

The former Fernwerk has been restored from original plans and placed in a separate case as choir organ. A second manual was added with three new stops as well as two new pedal stops. The choir organ is played from the main console, and yes, of course it has been recorded!

BTW, the release is just around the corner, only a few weeks to wait for it...

Very excited for this sample set, the recordings on the beta version sound quite promising. The specification looks unusually rich and I’m already imagining which pieces to record! Thank you for your hard work in making this sample set possible Reiner!
