Salgareda - now available

PostThu Jul 01, 2021 2:02 pm

Dear All,

I am delighted to share with you the news of the availability of the Salgareda pipe organ, a beautiful French Romantic instrument from the Saint Michael Archangel Parish Church, Salgareda, Italy.

The organ was constructed by Andrea Zeni of Tesero in 1999 to commemorate the centenary of the death of the great French organ builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll (1811-1899). The sample set is offered at $99.

It has 26 stops on 2 manuals and a pedalboard.

How it sounds: https://youtu.be/iLy22jEIbZY

Full specs: https://www.inspiredacoustics.com/en/pr ... a#stoplist

I hope you will enjoy this exceptional instrument and its beautifully blending acoustics.
Yours truly,
Dr. Csaba Huszty

Congratulations to the team at IA for a delightful sampleset, and very cost-competitive!

I made a little video with the set loaded with the supplied impulse response files, and the result is great! (I also used one of the included voicing presets which makes the tuning a little more 'French')

Here is a link to IA's blog post about how to set up the mixer/perspectives (including release truncation of the samples) to create the effect.

Thanks, Jerry.

The placement of your subwoofer in the fireplace is very clever :-)

Haha - good catch! Amazingly it has taken years for me to realize that it's better that the sub not just fire into the carpet!! The fireplace, sitting right there, became an interesting experiment, and I have not looked back!! :D
