I have been unsuccessfully trying to download the 2 trial files for Bovenkerk.

Any help here?

Hello Stephen,

Thanks very much for the interest in the sample set.

Are you referring to the downloads listed here on the Milan Digital Audio website: https://milandigitalaudio.com/1741-bovenkerk-hinsz/ ?

If so, that page mentions that they were for Hauptwerk v3/v4, so they wouldn't work anyway in Hauptwerk v5+ and v3/v4 are no longer supported, so maybe that page just hasn't been updated yet. (I'll let Brett know that it may need updating.)

For Hauptwerk v5+ you can instead download the full sample set here:

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=17988

Before installing it, send a message to Francois at support [at] hauptwerk.com , letting him know your iLok account name (not the password) and requesting a trial licence for the sample set. Once you've activated the trial licence you can then install and use the sample set in full for seven days.
Best regards, Martin.

Thx Martin,

I think the page says ....
"Download the free Volume 1 24 stop trial version to try out the Bovenkerk Hinsz virtual instrument. The evaluation instrument works with all editions of Hauptwerk version 3.30 and higher."

Thanks, Stephen.

Yes. If I recall correctly the trials were encrypted though, so although the v3.30+ part would have been correct when it was written, it would no longer be true for v5+ (since encrypted v3/v4 sample sets can't be loaded in v5+, due to the change of licensing system between v4 and v5). I'm not aware of any separate trial-specific version of those sample sets existing for v5+, but one can instead test the full versions using trial licences.
Best regards, Martin.
