Short Octave on the Klapmeyer organ in Altenbruch

PostWed Mar 02, 2022 5:13 pm

When playing the wonderful Klapmeyer organ for the first time after moving to Hauptwerk v7, I noticed that the short octave is now activated even when in the Organ Preferences the Key order for the bottom octave is set to "Modern". If I set it to "Baroque" the mapping is even "doubled", i.e. pressing G# produces a low C and low D and E are no longer available.

I have not noticed this with previous versions of Hauptwerk, so it might be connected with the global vs organ settings. I don't mind to use the short octave occasionally but not for every piece.

Has anybody noticed this effect too and is there a method to switch back to the full range of the low octave?

Best wishes from Hansmartin in Hamburg.

Did you inadvertently load Altenbruch Original, when you previously used Extended?

Thanks very much for the help! I wondered why all my MIDI settings were lost - same cause.
Hansmartin.
