Vierdag Organ from Dreischor (Netherlands) II/18 - free

PostSat Mar 05, 2022 1:51 am

I am happy to inform everyone that completed my new sample set of Vierdag Organ from Adriaanskerk in Dreischor (Netherlands) . The organ has two manual and pedal and 18 original and 5 extended stops.

Dreischor is a very small town on the first Island of Zeeland, the Netherlands. The population is 975. It has been known as the greenest village of Europe, and it is quite unique how well-preserved history is here.
In the center of Dreischor, there is a big church, which is so big due to the fact that it was the Parish Church of the community of Roman-Catholics. The church was built in 1342, first they started with the choir, and later-on, around 1400 the rest of the church was built. The church is built in a Gothic Architecture style, and has a remarkably good acoustic situation

After the flood of 1953, a new organ was built. This organ has been built by the dutch firm Vierdag (which does not exist anymore) and is mildly voiced for its time, where it is built in the neo-baroque style. It counts 18 stops, of which 1 is a transmission from the hoofdwerk. The stops are divided over 2 manuals (Hoofdwerk and Borstwerk) and pedals. The borstwerk is in a little swell-box which has been created in the software too. The organ has a fully mechanical tracker- and stopaction.

The sample sets are available in wave format 48kHz/24bit, stereo, multiple loops (8) and multiple releases (3 levels).
Equal, a=430 Hz. The reverb 3 s, reflects the original acoustics of the church.
Hauptwerk v4.2 and v5 and v6 and v7 supported for the Organ Definition Files.
The sample sets made in several forms.
Stereo near, stereo far and four-channels surround.
In the surround versions you can adjust the perspective by setting the volume of the near, and far recordings.
The sample RAM requirement is not high, the stereo version requires 8 GB, the surround version requires 12 GB for 24-bit loading.
We created an IR Reverb file for Hauptwerk 5-7 users, which we recommend for the near version.

This wonderful-sounding instrument once again proves that the former Firma Vierdag understood its trade. The sound lays a solid foundation for congregational singing. And the register choice also allows concerting. For example, the prelude of the week by Bach and his associates can be done very well.
By the way, also tribute to digital recording.
With regards, Coos from the Netherlands.
