William Hill organ model

PostFri Apr 08, 2022 3:54 pm

Has anyone here got the Sonus Paradisi William Hill organ model?. I'm very tempted by it and would love to hear the views of any owners......
(I have already asked this on Facebook but I know there are people here not on FB)
Thanks

It is a good sample set and I do play it fairly often. It is really a ‘much altered’ Hill.

The additions, re-voicing and transposition of the ranks are perhaps typical of work carried out on many English church organs during there lifetime to keep them ‘up to date’ with the fashion of the moment. They are for the most part well done. It is typical of what you might find in a larger urban church (though in much better condition).

If you are not after an unchanged Hill, and like the sound, then it is good value and as ever with SP well presented.

Thanks Iain.
I'm more interested in 'English' than specifically Hill so sounds good.
