Rodgers Trio Model 322 - No Longer Available

PostMon Sep 12, 2022 3:45 pm

This theatre organ was new in 1968 and I have owned the organ since 1974. The organ has full pedalboard (though not full AGO specs), full bench (not dog-leg), single expression pedal, and two speaker cabinets, one with stationary speakers and one with a two speed Leslie-like rotating baffle speaker. Amps are original and have some noise. There are some dead notes and volume dropoffs, likely due to the age of the electronics.

Organ does not have any MIDI capability. The stop tabs are not SAMs and the combination action is blind and not changeable. The real 30 note external glockenspiel is not included.

Console and speaker cabinets are finished in medium walnut and are in good condition given the age of the instrument.

With some care and effort the instrument might be a candidate for MIDI conversion for use with
Hauptwerk.

The organ is located in the basement of my home and will require some moving expertise. Local pickup in Cleveland Ohio preferred. The organ is offered as-is and where-is for free. Buyer to pay moving/shipping costs. If complete organ remains after September 24, 2022, I would be willing to part out the instrument (e.g.bench, pedalboard, clear plastic music rack, etc.). The organ is headed soon for the bulk trash pickup.

If you resort to parting it out, I would be first in line to purchase the SAMS if they are the correct variety.

The Rodgers Trios did not have SAMs. The presets on these organs were "blind."

However, these were marvelous small three manual organs. The keyboards are wooden (at least the ones I have played) so they are worth reusing even if nothing else is wanted.
