This won’t hurt a bit!

According to the headline on the Guardian website:
Covid vaccine jabs accompanied by organ music at Salisbury Cathedral

”Soothing organ music was played as hundreds of people over 80 received Covid jabs in what must be the UK’s most spectacular and historic vaccination centre – Salisbury Cathedral ... Local GPs invited a group of patients to be vaccinated and the cathedral organised a programme of music, which was played on its 19th-century Father Willis organ.”

Is this a first or is anywhere else providing such superb service!

According to last night's news and today's papers, Lichfield is also providing the same facility and I am sure that there are plenty more. However, I rather think that Salisbury providing background music might have stolen a march.

Salisbury Vaccine concert

I gather David Halls played somewhat sombre music solely because they didn't want the vaccinees bursting out into song e.g Jerusalem, as singing is deemed to be an effective viral spreader. As a result I'm told it sounded somewhat funereal which can't have been entirely encouraging... Oh Dear !
Be careful what you set your heart on......you may achieve it.
