I'm using HW4 Advanced currently
I wanted to use OrganART Media's Silbermann Reinhardtsgrimma Sample set, but when I used to install the package, and load the sample via Organ - Load organ.. menu, it crashes and opens a message that says that samples has unknown format, the message code is 4922. What do I do?
My setup is macOS with 20GB RAM, 2 x 2,8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon CPU and ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024 MB Graphics Card.
Message code 4922
Re: Message code 4922
Hello OrgelEnjoyer,
If the sample set is in v5+ format then you won't be able to install it in v4.
If you're sure that it's in v4 format, then either:
- One or more of the sample set's installation files are corrupted (in which case you'll probably need to download a new copy, if still available in v4 format), or:
- If the version of Hauptwerk is *less* than v4.2.1 then it might not have a new enough version of the RAR extractor. In that case you would potentially need to install a newer version of Hauptwerk (or an even older version of the sample set, if available). However v4 is no longer officially supported or available for download, I'm afraid.
If you decide to upgrade to v8, then this post has some instructions:

Since you're using a Mac, it would also be very important that you completely delete the Hauptwerk v4 installation *before* trying to install a more recent version, as covered in the 'upgrading' instructions in the current user guide: https://https://www.hauptwerk.com/documentation/ . Also you would need to make sure that your Mac has a new enough version of macOS installed for Hauptwerk v8 (macOS 10.13.6 or later).

Re: Message code 4922
I don't think it's legal, but I do not use the installer. I want to not say the reason why. You may ask in Private messages, I'll tell you everything. But by the way, the sample is just doesn't running. It shows the same 4922 error and says that samples has uhh... inapropriated format? ah yes, unsupported format. The format is a normal WAV, nothing wrong, but stil, it doesn't run.

Hello OrgelEnjoyer,
In Hauptwerk, please use "Help | Create a diagnostic file" and send the resulting file to support [at] hauptwerk.com , so that we can confirm the details of your licences, and so that we can see which versions of Hauptwerk and the sample set you're using. In the email, please also just confirm whom you bought the licences from, so that we can verify that they're valid if needed.
I've temporarily disabled your forum account until we have that from you, but we'll re-enable it once we've been able to confirm that the licences are legitimate. Thanks for your understanding.
