MAC Mini question. What are the standard install locations files go ?

Hi.

What files get installed on what locations in the MAC?

Do they need to be on the “primary storage disk” or can they be installed on external ssd drives, on the MAC?

Hello Francis,

You can choose the installation locations for various types of components (such as sample set files, and/or organ caches) by selecting the 'Custom' mode in the installer. (You can re-run it if you want to change them.)

By default, they all get installed within a 'Hauptwerk' folder at the top level of your macOS account's home folder.

The "Installing Hauptwerk: background information" section in the Hauptwerk Advanced User Guide (starting on page 7 in the current v9.0.0 version) has more details:

By default (as above) they would be on your Mac's primary drive, but you can change that if you wish.
