Pitch shift with Reaper

Post by laurentiui »

I'm using Reaper to add reverb to the Rotterdam Laurenskerk dry sample of Sonus Paradisi. The audio output of Hauptwerk is set to VST Link.

I've noticed that the organ sound a halftone lower. I've tried with different organs and, strangely, some of them are in pitch, others no.
Anybody knows what happens and how can be solved?

Some organs recorded at 44 and some at 48? And Reaper is set to one value and isn't changing?

PSE have look at the Reaper manual, Chapter 9, where the ptich-control is described en detail. Are all parameters set to "zero".

If the organs within Hauptwerk are set to their original temperament and pitch, their pitch normally can not be compared.

PSE go to the tab View, Large floating control panels, Pitch: here all the information related to the pitch of the organ loaded can be found and adjusted.
Are all organs set to the same pitch, temperament and transposition?

For the purpose of setting temperaments and pitches for an organ go to the tab Pitch and choose the appropriate item.

Yes -- the most common cause of that is not setting your sequencer (Reaper) project's sample rate to match the sample rate of the organ you have loaded. That's covered in the Hauptwerk user guide and Reaper tutorials on our website.
