Apple and version 9
. Do you know yet what the OLDEST version of the Mac OS you plan to support with V9 of HW? I'm considering whether to switch to a new PC or stick with my iMac Late 2013 6 core Intel Xeon with the next release. thanks for this amazing software which I sometimes can't believe actually exists!
Re: Apple and version 9
I'm sure Martin will have a much better answer, but the main OSX version with which there were compatibility problems was Catalina. 32 bit software stopped working, so Hauptwerk's installer stopped working. Since then, I've had Hauptwerk 5 and later running on every version of Mac OSX, and my understanding is that there weren't any "core program" changes since then that would make it incompatible. The website says the minimum version is Ventura, but I'd be surprised if other OS versions since Catalina don't install. Not sure when Hauptwerk 9 is coming out (it's usually a surprise!), but I'd hold out with your current system until then and try it out. I'd say if it is running Ventura now, then it should still be ok. (if all else fails, you could stay on 8. Then if you want to upgrade to 9 but can't because of OS compatibility, you can buy a new machine.)
Re: Apple and version 9
Thanks, Terry.
The minimum prerequisites for Hauptwerk v9 will be unchanged from v8, i.e. the minimum supported macOS version will be macOS 10.13.6 (‘High Sierra’).

So is this fishing for info about HW9 or did I miss something?
