Hi. I hope you can help or advise me, I went from a PC to a MAC after my hard drive failed on PC and I managed to loose everything! Anyway .. I have the Mac mini installed but I am having trouble with the CMKCONFIG program for Mac, I don't really understand it ... and now I am not able to get the keyboards to communicate with Hauptwerk etc does anyone understand CMKCONFIG and creating what I need to control 4 manuals and the classic midi works pedal board Many thanks for the kind help, I think I really need the correct datafile and it's all bait of a mess now.
Kind regards. Jon
CMK3 KEYBOARDS (4 manuals and pedals) help with CMKCONFIG
Re: CMK3 KEYBOARDS (4 manuals and pedals) help with CMKCONFIG
I'm not familiar with it, but is there a way to set the channels using just the keyboards? That's usually all you have to do. I'm guessing Hauptwerk has everything set up, and you don't want to have to autodetect and set everything up again. But it should be relatively straight forward.

There are tutorials here: https://midiworks.ca/index.php/support/ ... g-hardware
But why would you need to reconfigure your keyboards just because you changed computers? CMKConfig should be a one time thing unless the keyboards themselves (not the PC) had a hardware failure. CMKConfig only configures the keyboards' firmware settings, not the computer.
The keyboards should still be sending the same messages on the same MIDI channels for the Mac as for the PC, and Hauptwerk should autodetect them as usual, unless you used CMKConfig to mistakenly reset the keyboards.
I've replaced computers several times and only configured the CMK3 keyboards once when I first bought them.
P.S. You can set the keyboards up using pistons and keys without CMKConfig for most things.
