customize console window view?

I have seen in some of the sample sets that they have a "simple stoplist" that is farer from the original graphic depiction of the console window. I think Begard is one of them.
I love this simple graphic representation because I only have one screen at hand and the stops in the console window often are so small that I can't read the text on them. (Of course as you get to know the set it will be less problematic)
I dit some times use my iPad and Midi Designer Pro to have a more readable touch screen. But I would like to have an built-in solution with as few peripheral devices as possible.
Are there no options to create other custom "pages" where you could use the space more efficiently?

I have HW9 advanced with a Mac Mini and an Expresso touch screen - and playing via a NORD C2D organ with pedals.

Do you mean the simple stop buttons view that some samplesets provide? Very useful for us one-screen users with bad eyesight and shaky hands!

Hauptwerk doesn't have a generic way to generate that view automatically for any organ; it's up to the sampleset producer to provide all those tabs for console, single jamb, settings, left and right jambs, simple jamb...

Or you could do a CODM, if the sampleset allows it, and build the view, but I'm sure MIDI Designer Pro is easier to use than CODM.

It would be very nice if the ability existed. I don't use a number of my samplesets at all because they don't have a simple view or its stop buttons are too thin (usually vertically) to hit accurately.

To confirm and add to Mark's reply (thanks very much as always, Mark), adding the ability for users to design their own graphical stop layouts is logged as an enhancement request.

Glad to read Martin's comments here.

I manually adapt/redraw/redesign one screen (only landscape) in just about every sample set I have, including DEMO samples. This involves editing the .xml organ file in Notepad.

I also find help in the free program AECHO.

It takes me about 4-6 hours which I enjoy and I like the end result.

Marc's URL is OK. The app is quite old and I have used only the freeware version.

AECHO loads the Hauptwerk .xml file and identifies all the sections. If you highlight a line of code it tells you what all the parameters are.
eg. size of text, colour (RGB) of text, size of icon, location directory on your PC, position on screen, page on screen etc. If the line includes a picture, it shows the picture.

It also includes a "contents page" of the sections. eg. if you want to change the order of the keyboards, or rename them, you can go straight to the "Keyboard" section.

I hadn't heard of AECHO before, and have no experience with it, but some notes of caution occur:

- It mentions it's for Hauptwerk v4, and there have been ODF format changes for later Hauptwerk versions, so there might be a risk of if not handling those properly. Format changes are identified by version within the Hauptwerk organ definition format documentation (available via the corresponding button within Hauptwerk v5+, for people with the sample set development licensing option).

- Editing a third-party ODF is of course at your own risk (unsupported), and could cause unexpected problems in Hauptwerk if done incorrectly.

- Also, make sure that the sample set producer's licence for the sample set allows it.
